After an injury, an operation or even if you have a chronically weak ligamentous apparatus, your ankle joint has a particular need for safety. MalleoLoc uses an asymmetrical plastic splint to provide reliable protection against outward and inward twisting, even during sport. It fits snugly in front of the outer ankle and behind the inner ankle, preventing direct pressure on the ankle. The foot can roll normally when walking, which is beneficial for mobilization and the healing process.
The MalleoLoc splint has a slim fit and is softly padded on the inside. A protruding tongue on the sole of the foot stimulates your foot muscles and counteracts incorrect movements. It is fixed in place with two cross-over Velcro straps. At the same time, the MalleoLoc helps your ankle to help itself: despite your weakened ligaments, it is important that you remain active and exercise your muscles. MalleoLoc stabilizes your ankle joint with and without shoes so that you can move correctly and without fear at all times in everyday life. This contributes to your healing process.

Indications:
- Early functional / conservative therapy for capsular ligament injuries and injuries to the bifurcated ligament, e.g. after sprains and ligament ruptures
- Postoperative protection after ligament suturing/reconstruction
- Chronic ligament insufficiency
- Recurrence prophylaxis
Care instructions:
MalleoLoc can be cleaned separately by hand using a mild alkali-free detergent. To maintain the functionality of the Velcro fasteners for a long time and to avoid damage, we recommend closing them before washing. When drying, do not expose the MalleoLoc to direct heat (e.g. heating, sunlight, etc.).
